Niagara

There are two major attractions in the Niagara region and both make excellent locations for weddings or other celebrations or ceremonies! The first of course is world famous Niagara Falls.

The second, and certainly no less important, is Niagara on the Lake. The abundance of wineries in this region makes it an increasingly popular choice for couples planning to marry.

Niagara on the Lake holds particular appeal for foodies and wine lovers alike. Here couples can pair up great Ontario wines with culinary delights — surrounded by incredible natural beauty.

The Niagara region is also a convenient choice for many couples as it is relatively close to many other southwest Ontario cities such as Hamilton which has its own airport. Hamilton is also equal distance to Toronto and Niagara Wine country — making it easier for guests (and officiants) to travel. Niagara is also very close to the American border which makes it easier for guests located in the U.S. to come and go via Buffalo. It is worth noting that Buffalo also also has a couple of airports though many people cross the border easily by bus or car.

While there are so many venues from which to choose in the Niagara region, please remember that the most important thing about a wedding or any life passage ceremony is having loved ones nearby for care and support. While this can take place in a public venue, those meaningful memories are just as easily created with ceremonies at a private home or in a backyard or garden.

If you are looking for a unique ceremony that embraces Humanist values of compassion, care and a strong moral and ethical sense in a secular framework, then consider a Humanist officiant for your ceremony.
